As you all know, we have had to cancel all meetings, classes, and services at Temple Judah, in order to halt the spread of the coronavirus. We will be evaluating things at the end of the month and will let you know when we will resume our normal schedule.
It is so very odd to not be able to congregate and support one another during such difficult circumstances. Therefore, I want to remind you all that Temple Judah is here for you. Though Carolyn is no longer working from the office she is working from home. She’s regularly checking voicemail, and email. Feel free to call for anything you might need. Likewise, you can also call or text me for anything.
As for services, if you are interested in watching a video service streamed over the internet, there are a number of congregations that are offering this. Here are links to a couple of them: Central Synagogue in NYC and Temple Israel in Memphis (Abbie Silber Strauss’ congregation).
For our Temple Judah community, however, I will be leading services over Zoom, a free video conferencing service. Though you can call in with just a phone, I am going to request that only those with video capabilities join initially. I want us to be able to see each other when we pray.
Services will begin at 6:30 pm on Friday, as usual. If you don’t have a video camera capable of connecting to Zoom, please let us know.
