UnityPoint Health® – St. Luke’s Hospital nurses to be honored for outstanding work
Two nurses from UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s Hospital were recently named to the Iowa Nurses’ Association list of 100 Great Iowa Nurses for 2018. St. Luke’s honorees include, Diane Handler of Cedar Rapids and Ann Overton of Hiawatha.
These nurses were selected based on their concern for humanity and contributions to the community and the nursing profession. The nurses were selected from a pool of nominated individuals nominated by colleagues, patients, doctors, friends and family members. The field of nominees is then narrowed to 100 by a panel of reviewers, which includes nursing professionals and previous award winners.
Overall 26 UnityPoint Health® Iowa nurses were selected as part of the 100 Great Iowa Nurses for 2018. The nurses will be honored at the 100 Great Iowa Nurses Celebration in Des Moines on Sunday, May 6. The 100 Great Nurses program is in its 14th year.
