Please help! Bring old and broken crayons to the collection box in the lobby, and Amy and Jared will get them to the Arc DayHab.
The Arc Dayhab groups do volunteer work in our community. When the weather is inclement and the special needs clients cannot be outside The Crayon Initiative allows them to do a volunteer project indoors. The Arc groups will be collecting donated crayons and sorting them.
The Crayon Initiative is a Non-profit organization that collects old crayons, recycles them into new crayons which are distributed to childrens’ hospitals (two in Iowa). Crayons are petroleum products which do not degrade in landfills and we all have old crayons!
