Dr. Carson returned to Europe for the second year as a guest conductor and lecturer for the European Music Educators Association in October 2018. At this conference held in Belgium, Dr. Carson not only gave presentations to the music educators but also worked with American students on the fundamentals of improvisational jazz. A letter received from the EMEA Executive Board stated, “Dr. Carson’s passion and dedication served as an important inspiration for us that keeps our perspective fresh and alert. He is an amazing presenter. We as a board feel that he represented Coe College with pride and honor.”
