“We can ‘Just do it’ …”
I want to mention (as I had written about in previous messages…) my fruit trees are full of pears, cherries, plums, and apricots. As a lifelong pessimist turned optimist, I worried that because of the late snow and freeze, there wouldn’t be any fruit this year. But rain and warm weather this spring have come through! Baruch HaShem!
Since I last wrote this column, we attended an outdoor service in the Silber Outdoor Sanctuary and a Shavuot service, and were very happy and encouraged by the wonderful turnout. As it was a Tuesday evening service for Shavuot, I was impressed by the number of members who showed up! If you haven’t been to a service lately, come and participate! As the Nike commercial says, “Just do it!”
I would also like to thank Tony Smith for overseeing our house and grounds. It is a large task, and he is very diligent at keeping things running smoothly.
One thing I always keep in the back of my mind as a member of Temple Judah is that we are all one large family. We come together to celebrate wonderful occasions like Bat and Bar Mitzvahs, baby naming’s, conversions, high school graduations and marriages. But we also support those who are ill and sit shiva with our members who have lost loved ones.
Please join the Temple Judah family and do your part to contribute to keeping the flame alive and burning bright. Don’t sit on the outside, looking in. Participate!!
Shalom,
