“We can’t do it without you …”

What a wonderful June! It started off with a bang with Davis Derrick’s Bar Mitzvah. What a great job he did, and the sanctuary was filled with his friends and family! It was a first for me as I witnessed the first ever Bar Mitzvah dance by Davis when he completed his portion of the service!  And … he was taller than the Rabbi!

This was followed by the Temple Congressional meeting. What a great turn out, and if you missed it, you missed some great knishes. After the meeting was the Shavuot service which was well attended.

There was also another Bar Mitzvah at the Temple, filling the sanctuary yet again! Dathan Desotel did a wonderful job and it was enjoyed by all who attended! He also was taller than the Rabbi! His parents and his family and friends were overjoyed!

I know I haven’t mentioned it recently, but my fruit trees are currently full of pears, plums, and a few apricots. Due to the cold weather in the spring and freeze, there was concern about the lack of fruit this year (I did lose the cherries). However, the recent rain and warm weather have been beneficial. Baruch HaShem!

If you haven’t been to a service lately, come and partake! We (the Temple Judah family) can’t do it without you!

One thing I always keep in the back of my mind as a member of Temple Judah is we are all one large family. We come together to celebrate wonderful occasions like Bat and Bar Mitzvahs, baby naming’s, conversions, high school graduations and marriages. But we also support those who are ill and sit shiva with our members who have lost loved ones.

Please join the Temple Judah family and do your part and contribute to keeping the flame alive and burning bright. Don’t sit on the outside, looking in. Participate!!

Shalom,
