An Evening With Ben Lesser

THE IOWA MOTION PICTURE ASSOCIATION PROUDLY PRESENTS AN EVENING WITH BEN LESSER

A live-streamed conversation with one of the last living Holocaust survivors, Ben Lesser, now 96 years old.

Ben was born in Krakow, Poland, in 1928. During the Holocaust, he endured five years of unspeakable hardship – surviving several ghettos and the concentration camps of Auschwitz and Buchenwald before finally being liberated at Dachau. Of his large family, only he and his sister survived.

After arriving in th U.S. in 1947, Ben built a new life, became a successful businessman and raised a loving family. But it was in retirement that he found his true calling: educating future generations about the Holocaust, tolerance, and the importance of remembrance. His foundation, the Zachor Holocaust Remembrance Foundation, has reached countless students across the country.

Tickets are just $10 and are available at www.FleurCinema.com. All proceeds go directly to Ben’s foundation and to support the film adaptation of his autobiography, Living a Life That Matters.
