“Beyond the Stage is a big-picture initiative forged between TCR and other thought leaders in the Cedar Rapids community. It’s intended to provoke mind-expanding experiences surrounding contemporary issues and themes, and features a robust menu of events stemming from TCR’s Linge Series productions.
This year’s Linge Series productions are The Diary of Anne Frank and Bent. These plays and their Beyond The Stage affiliated events bring focus to World War II, the Holocaust, and the past and present discrimination and persecution of persons based on religion, sexual orientation, gender, race or creed.”
A panel discussion on March 13th will include Rabbi Todd, one of 5 panelists, who will be discussing Us and Them: Prejudice and Persecution in the Holocaust and Today. The discussion is from 6 – 8 pm in the TCR Auditorium. The moderator is Angie Toomsen, TCR Artistic Director and Director of The Diary of Anne Frank.
